What is it?
Cookery is a creative and technical profession that combines passion, precision, and skill to produce exceptional food experiences. From designing innovative menus to mastering classic techniques, chefs must balance flavour, presentation, and nutrition while working under pressure. This dynamic trade spans fine dining in Michelin-starred restaurants to large-scale catering in hotels, canteens, and event venues, showcasing the versatility of culinary arts. In the Cookery competition, participants are challenged to demonstrate their knowledge of ingredients, cooking methods, food safety, and kitchen management.
