Discover the technology behind modern manufacturing.
Get hands-on with some of the equipment and technology being used in manufacturing today. Explore robotics, pneumatics, PLCs and 3D printing, see a collaborative robot — or cobot — in action, and even experience virtual welding for yourself.
It’s an opportunity to see how engineering, automation and technology come together in a modern manufacturing environment.

Film & TV: Technology & Production
Go behind the scenes of screen production.
Discover how traditional craft and cutting-edge technology come together in Film & TV. The area will feature a Wednesday Addams Family house miniature, selected props and a miniature KUKA robot, alongside demonstrations of 3D scanning and 3D printing.
Students can also find out more about the courses and pathways that could lead to a career in screen production.

Watch professional prosthetic artists work with a model and get a close-up look at the practical skills involved in creating prosthetics for Film & TV.
It’s a chance to see a very different side of the screen industry and discover the specialist skills and careers that exist behind the camera.

Put your engineering skills to the test.
Discover what a career in pipefitting involves through equipment, materials, demonstrations and apprenticeship information.
Then have a go yourself. Students will be able to assemble a series of stainless-steel pipe components by following a completed example — with the activity potentially becoming a timed challenge or team competition.

From traditional crafts and nature-based careers to renewable energy and cutting-edge building technology, the Sustainable Construction & Green Skills area brings together a diverse range of skills and training opportunities.
Students can explore different careers, meet instructors and get hands-on with activities across the area.

Arboriculture
Discover the skills involved in working with and caring for trees. Explore specialist forestry and arboriculture PPE, safety equipment and technology, alongside information on relevant training and courses.

Thatching
Discover one of Ireland's traditional construction skills and see how natural materials including straw, reed and rush can be used to create a thatched roof. TRY IT: Pick up the tools and have a go at thatching a model cottage roof.

Horticulture & Floristry
Get hands-on with two creative, practical career areas in a garden-inspired showcase featuring live demonstrations in horticulture and floristry. TRY IT: Learn propagation techniques • Make a wrist corsage

Wind Turbine
Discover the skills behind Ireland's growing renewable-energy sector through an interactive look at wind turbine technology, safety and maintenance. NZEB, Retrofit & Green Construction Technology
Discover the technology and practical skills helping to create more energy-efficient buildings. ETBs from across Ireland will showcase training equipment and technologies including airtightness testing, insulation and ventilation, thermal imaging and VR, giving students an insight into the skills needed for the future of sustainable construction.
