National Cloud Computing Competition 2022




Calling Cloud Computing Enthusiasts,

We are excited to announce the WorldSkills Ireland – National competition for Cloud Computing Skill.

The competition format is a single person AWS GameDay/JAM. Previous participants of this event have told us how much they enjoyed it. The winner will receive the Silver medal from the Department of Education.

Did you know the current WorldSkills gold medallist for Cloud Computing came from Ireland? They started, like you might, at an event just like this. Next international competition, the WorldSkills International event will be held in Lyon in France. Who knows, you could be the one representing Ireland in Lyon 2024. The WorldSkills Competition is the world’s largest technical and vocational competition. Over 50 skills are part of the competition, including cloud computing. WorldSkills Competitions are held every two years (Shanghai 2022 has been cancelled due to the pandemic ) with the next taking place in 2024 in Lyon, France. In the 2019 international competition Ireland won the gold medal for cloud computing skills in Kazan, Russia.

What I need: Bring your own laptop (there are limited number of laptops that can be provided)

Can I participate with my group? No, this is an individual competition.
